Giving Back

Every year in October, our neighbours at Dundee Pottery work with local restaurants to host a fundraising dinner for Haiti.

Empty Bowls 2020 was a great success, despite the challenges of CoVid-19.  Even though it is months away, we are already talking about Empty Bowls 2021!

When you buy a ticket to Empty Bowls, you get an evening of community and entertainment, a delicious soup,  a handmade pottery bowl - and an opportunity to support sustainable growth and change in Haiti. That hasn’t changed, and in some ways our new approach is even better! For TWO WEEKS you can purchase and pickup your bowl, and then take your time visiting participating restaurants to sample the delicious special menu items in honour of this

Funds raised by Empty Bowls will be used to support MCC's  tree planting efforts in Haiti. MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) has had a presence in Haiti since 1958, they strive to work with local groups and communities to meet the goals identified in that community. Please visit their website for more information about their initiatives and community partnerships.
